Allagash Headwaters Lodge is located in the center of 3.5 + million acres of industrial woodlands, known as the NORTH MAINE WOODS.
Our NEW full-service Lodge is located at mile 62 on the Telos Rd, centrally located on the boundary of Wildlife Management Zones 5 and 4.
We are very proud to be the ONLY Fully Handicapped Accessible Lodge in the State of Maine.
Continuous commercial logging and exceptional genetics create prime moose habitat, promote large antler growth, and foster a sustainable moose population. Our diverse moose hunting area is made up of clear cuts, various age classes of regenerated forest land, and miles of drivable and grown-up gravel roads. The area is comprised of numerous beaver bogs, rivers, and streams, with softwood forests and hardwood ridges bordering the renowned Allagash River. THIS IS PRIME MAINE MOOSE HABITAT!
With over 25 years of experience and living in the area for more than 11 months each year, we possess extensive knowledge of the region and the moose we pursue. There is no substitute for a local’s North Woods experience!
We offer Fully Guided and Unguided hunt packages during all of the Maine Moose Hunting Seasons.

Guided hunts by experienced Professional Maine Guides, offering opportunities that may depend on the hunter’s ability or desire for a specific type of hunt. Whether it’s calling moose, spot-and-stalk hunting, hunting on the water by canoe, or, if needed, roadside hunting, we can offer a plan to make your hunt a truly memorable experience.
We cater to archery, rifle, muzzleloader, and handgun hunters.
Whether on a guided hunt or not, we have experienced staff available to assist with moose retrieval. We possess the necessary equipment and expertise to support various scenarios.

Fully Guided Moose Hunt $5200*
Fully Guided Maine Moose Hunt: Fully Guided, all-inclusive 6-day hunt with 7 nights lodging for two hunters. Lodging and meals at Allagash Headwaters Lodge with one private room with a private bath. Includes a daily packed lunch for the field.
Our Maine Moose Hunting package includes Professional, Experienced Maine Guides who have conducted extensive preseason scouting and possess detailed local knowledge. Transportation from the Lodge, including Moose retrieval, is also included.
Package rates are for two people, Permittee and Sub-Permittee

Unguided Moose Hunt $1400*
Unguided Moose Hunts from Allagash Headwaters Lodge: 7 nights Lodging and meals per person based on double occupancy at Allagash Headwaters Lodge with one private room with private bath. Includes daily packed lunch for the field.

Lodging Terms and Conditions:
Pet policy: Sorry, no pets allowed, with the exception of bird hunting dogs during the upland season.
Check in and check out: Plan to arrive anytime after 2 pm on date of arrival, and check out by 10 am on the day of departure.
Reservations: A 50% deposit is required to reserve your reservation.
Deposits are non-refundable, but may be credited to another date in the event of a cancellation.
The state of Maine 9% Lodging tax will be applied to your stay with us.
