Maine currently has the largest bear population in more than six decades, with an estimated 30,000+ animals. Allagash Headwaters Lodge is situated more than 60 miles from the nearest town, offering exceptional accommodations, meals, and all-inclusive service, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Six nights of meals and lodging, arriving on Sunday afternoon and departing the following Saturday by 9 am.

Black Bear hunting in Maine begins in late August and runs for four weeks. We hunt the first two weeks and limit our guests to twelve hunters per week.
We lease 50+ bait sites per year and operate on more than 140 square miles of commercial woodland that borders more than 204,000 acres of wildlands closed to hunting.
Week one: August 24th to August 30th.
Week Two: August 25th to September 6th.
